What You Need

- Leaf genmaicha with matcha (3 g per cup)
- Teapot
- Tea cups
- Measuring spoon
- Hot water
How to Brew Genmaicha

Step 1
Place tea leaves into the teapot — 1 teaspoon (approx. 2–3 g) per person. -
Step 2
Pour in 100–130 ml of hot water (95°C / 203°F) per person. -
Step 3
Put on the lid and steep for about 30 seconds.
For a mellower, creamier taste, try 80°C with a slightly longer steep. -
Step 4
To ensure even flavor, pour the tea into cups a little at a time, alternating between cups in this order: 1 → 2 → 2 → 1. -
Step 5
Pour out every last drop and enjoy the nutty, toasty notes with gentle green richness.
