Flavor Profile
Genmaicha is a blend of green tea and roasted rice, known for its mellow taste and toasty aroma. It’s low in bitterness, making it a popular choice for children and those who prefer a gentler tea. The clean, refreshing finish makes it a classic after-meal tea in Japan.

Per cup: Use 2g of tea leaves with 100–130ml of hot water
For a teapot (350–400ml): Use 6–7g of tea leaves

Two Ways to Enjoy Genmaicha

1- Bright & Refreshing: Use near-boiling water (95°C / 203°F), steep for just 30 seconds to enjoy a light, toasty flavor with a clean finish.

2- Smooth & Full-Bodied: Use slightly cooler water (80°C / 176°F) and steep longer to extract more starch from the roasted rice for a mellow, almost creamy texture.
